Event Description

KDUK is hosting a DRESS DASH on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 7 a.m. to Noon at the Valley River Inn to celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Brides are encouraged to show up early for their chance to find the wedding gown of their dreams at an amazing price! There will be more than 500 wedding gowns to choose from in sizes 2-30 all priced at just $150! The proceeds from this charity event will benefit Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, a Portland-based non-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes for men and women with terminal breast cancer.

The line will start outside the North end of the Valley River Inn. The earlier brides arrive, the sooner they can “dash” for their dress! Parking is available in the North end parking lot. Admission is free.

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.

I always enjoy attending these reenactments. Especially since at one time I was a member of this group. A really nice bunch of people.
