Event Description

Eugene Active 20-30 Club, in partnership with Valley River Center, is in need of the community's help to fill the ornaments on the Giving Tree.

The Giving Tree is a Christmas tree where people can pick up ornaments that designate gift donations for thousands of local underprivileged children in our community. Often times these are the only gifts that these children receive during the holiday season. This year, 2,449 ornaments were received from local agencies. The public is encouraged to take the ornaments and fill children's Christmas wishes while doing their shopping at Valley River Center. Items requested include toys, clothing, sporting equipment, electronics, gift cards and more.

Please help us fill these gifts and bring Christmas to children who would otherwise go without.

YouNews Rain Drop Prisms in Suzy's Yard Rain Drop Prisms in Suzy's Yard
Water drops on dandelion seed heads. The first rain we have had for awhile came this morning.
YouNews My Roses My Roses
I took this photo about 10 AM, but since it was in the shade of one of our trees, I decided to use the flash and it made it look more like I had taken it at night.
YouNews Spider from space Spider from space
While plucking dead blossoms from my Petunia plant I noticed this unusual spider so decided to take a photo of it. After loaded the shot in my computer I saw that the design on it's back looked like some sort of 'space alien'. Interesting. Enjoy.
