Event Description

On First Friday, February 4, at 6:00 p.m., savor a fusion of flavors when the Downtown Eugene Public Library hosts a free concert by the Beat Puppets.

This lively and eclectic group dishes out big helpings of pop, rock, jazz, country, and swing. The Beat Puppets are Chris Pontrelli (guitar, vocals, harmonica); Paula Hunt (violin, mandolin, dobro, vocals); Gary Hunt (drums, vocals); and Joe Hughes (bass).

The Downtown Library stays open until 8:00 p.m. on First Fridays.

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.

I always enjoy attending these reenactments. Especially since at one time I was a member of this group. A really nice bunch of people.
