Event Description

As a unique and gifted songwriter/singer, Mark Alan has showcased his talents around the states and been the opener for an impressive list of touring artists that include Ray Charles, Joan Baez, Robert Cray, Kelly Joe Phelps, Greg Brown, Jorma Kaukonen, and Marc Cohen, to name a few. His presence has been noted and praised by industry professionals from L.A. to Nashville, from the "Highland Grounds" to the famous "Bluebird Cafe". His long-standing Sunday night sets at the former Jo Federigo's in Eugene are nearly legendary among locals and University of Oregon alumni alike. He is now back in the local scene taking that long-standing weekly tradition to another local favorite, The Sixth Street Grill, where he is performing live music every Thursday night from 8:30 to 11:30 with NO cover charge.

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.

I always enjoy attending these reenactments. Especially since at one time I was a member of this group. A really nice bunch of people.
