Wetland Wanders are casual walks through various West Eugene Wetlands sites each 2nd Tuesday of every month.

Wild Iris Ridge is a 200-acre site composed of four parcels owned by the City of Eugene for rare habitat preservation and community open space. The Long Tom Watershed Council is currently in the third phase of a project to improve these rare habitat types. WREN will provide binoculars. We recommend long pants and sturdy walking shoes. Rain or shine. For more information call 541/338.7047 or email info@wewetlands.org FREE!

Storm clouds help make some beautiful sunrays before and during sunset. These were taken 05/21/2013 around the Salmon Harbor Marina.
YouNews Swarms of Seagulls Swarms of Seagulls
While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.

I always enjoy attending these reenactments. Especially since at one time I was a member of this group. A really nice bunch of people.
