Event Description

Please join us by bike or by foot to visit neighborhood examples of gardening,
permaculture, green energy, water collection, beekeeping, chickens, community gardens, neighborhood cooperation, local economic development, and more. This year's Fairmount tour will focus on just a few blocks, so it's very walkable; an optional bike ride to tour the former Fairmount streetcar loop will follow the green neighbor tour. Event is free, but bring money for a snack at the end, if you wish. This is a family friendly event.

These are female Rufous Hummingbirds. They are the most common hummingbird in Oregon. The male Rufous have much more red on their heads, back and belly with a red throat. I make my own nectar, the red dye is not good for them.
