We are young non-profit organization Slavic Home 503 (c) (3) that promotes cultural diversity in the American community through a variety of programs which are closely related to Eastern European culture, life and education system. These programs target people of different ages and designed to broaden their cultural awareness.
We are inviting you to become our sponsor this year and support our annual Slavic Festival! As our sponsor you will be provided a booth at the event to display your promotional materials and your name will be repeatedly mentioned during the Festival! We accept and value any kind of donation: cash, in-kind donation, media support and etc. In this difficult time in our country give our community a chance to forget the worries and troubles of the present day and enjoy the beauty and excitement of the Slavic Culture and to unite the peoples of different origins and cultures! Slavic Festival 2009
February 7th and 8th, Wheeler Pavilion, Lane County Fairgrounds

Dear Friends,

We are happy to invite you to our 4th annual Slavic Festival 2009!!!!
Slavic Festival is a grandiose 2-day-celebration of the beauty of the Slavic traditions and the impact of the Slavic heritage on our American Community!
Our Festival drew a crowd over 7 thousand people in the past, however we expect even more people participating in the Festival this year!

A lot of amazing artists from all of the United States are coming to perform at the Slavic Festival: "Barynya" (New York), the largest and the best Russian dance and music ensemble outside of Russia; KEF (Eugene), the ensemble that specializes in music from Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia; "Chervona" (Portland), band and ultimate dance party, mixing together taste and passion of the best Gypsy, Russian, Ukrainian, Klezmer and Balkan musical traditions; "Kalinka" (Eugene), local folk dance group which is already well-known and loved by the local community! http://www.slavichome.org/participants.php

DON'T MISS our opening night with a dazzling performance of all the leading artists "Slavic Mosaic" on February the 6th at Cozmic Pizza at 7:30 p.m!

NEW!!!This year we have a new exciting educational program for children!!! Games, dances, songs, crafts and a lot of FUN!!!! The culmination of the program will be an amazing play "HONK!" for children presented by Rose Children's Theater. Talented young actors will melt your hearts!

NEW!!! This year we also invite you to our first Russian Fun Dance Party for all ages!!!! It will be hosted by DJ Barnaul from New York and "Chervona" from Portland. We promise that you won't regret staying up late that night!!!!

And as always a centerpiece of our Festival will be delicious authentic Slavic food (borsch, vareniki, perogi, and etc.)! Slavic beer and wine garden will also be provided! You will have a chance to see and buy traditional Slavic arts and crafts and non-Slavic merchandise!

I took a morning walk in the Alton Baker Park area and got a few photos of the Fall colors. I think our long HOT summer took a toll on the trees as many had a rather drab color to them. Some were not that bad though. And it is still just a little early for some of them to have a more vibrant color.
