Event Description

SPRINGFIELD FARMERS’ MARKET EXTENDS OPERATING HOURS

The public farmers’ market in the heart of downtown Springfield will be open later beginning June 26th

Springfield Farmers’ Market is extending operating hours from 9am to 2pm to 9am to 3pm, 2009. The market will run every Friday from 9am to 3pm June 26th through October 9. Thanks for customer feed-back, we have decided to increase our operating hours to accommodate more shoppers at Springfield Farmers’ Market.

This season has gotten off to a great start with more vendors than ever and a wide variety of fresh produce and other locally produced food items. Springfield Public Library’s Story- Time at the Market begins at 1:00pm and is a great way to spend the afternoon with the kids.

The market accepts Oregon Trail Card, Credit and Debit Cards this season to make shopping more convenient for all customers.

Springfield Farmers’ Market is a program of NEDCO (Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation) and exists to provide fresh, local produce and food to people who live and work in Springfield, to generate economic opportunities for local farmers and vendors, and to actively participate in revitalization of downtown Springfield. Come participate and make your community a better place to live even while you check off you grocery list!
