Event Description

The Community Water Testing Lab at Thurston High School is a student/teacher water testing facility open to the public for testing well water samples. The lab is open on selected months during the school year. This service is offered to the public free-of-charge to residents in the area; however, a donation to offset the cost of materials would be appreciated. Individuals interested in this program must make an appointment. To ensure the accuracy of our testing methods, the use of a sampling kit, provided by the program, must be used. Procedures for collecting and storing your samples are outlined in the sampling kit. For more information about the program or to schedule a testing date, please call the WELL Office at 744-4140.

These are female Rufous Hummingbirds. They are the most common hummingbird in Oregon. The male Rufous have much more red on their heads, back and belly with a red throat. I make my own nectar, the red dye is not good for them.
