Event Description

Preparations are underway for the sixth annual “One Fine Day” luncheon benefiting the Volunteers In Medicine Clinic (VIM). Currently, the committee is busy securing donations, sponsorships, and event volunteers for this year’s luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, 2010. The signature element of the event is a silent auction comprised of fashion accessories (handbags, scarves, and jewelry), art pieces, gift certificates, luggage, antiques, and more. All proceeds from the event help VIM meet their mission of providing free medical care to low-income uninsured residents in our community.

Single tickets for the event go on sale January 15, 2010; full- and half-tables may be purchased now. In addition to supporting a worthy cause in our community, “One Fine Day” provides a tremendous business marketing opportunity. For information regarding donations of new or gently used items for the silent auction, event sponsorship, or volunteer opportunities, or to purchase tables or tickets, please contact Nicole Gauron, Special Events Coordinator, at 541-335-2827 or ngauron@vim-clinic.org.

Water drops on dandelion seed heads. The first rain we have had for awhile came this morning.
YouNews My Roses My Roses
I took this photo about 10 AM, but since it was in the shade of one of our trees, I decided to use the flash and it made it look more like I had taken it at night.
YouNews Spider from space Spider from space
While plucking dead blossoms from my Petunia plant I noticed this unusual spider so decided to take a photo of it. After loaded the shot in my computer I saw that the design on it's back looked like some sort of 'space alien'. Interesting. Enjoy.
