Event Description

Portland poet Sage Cohen discusses her book "Writing the Life Poetic: An Invitation to Read and Write Poetry" (Writer's Digest Books, 2009) on Thursday January 7th, 7:00 PM at Tsunami Books.

Cohen is also the author of the poetry collection "Like the Heart, the World." She writes four monthly columns about the craft and business of writing and serves as Poetry Editor for VoiceCatcher 3. Curator of a monthly reading series at Barnes & Noble, Sage teaches the online class Poetry for the People. www.sagesaidso.com.

Mid-Valley Willamette Writers provides refreshments and a social half hour at 6:30 before the presentation, and Cohen will raffle off a copy of her book. This event is open to the public, free to members of Willamette Writers and full-time college students; suggested donation $10 for non-members. Tsunami Books is located at 2586 Willamette Street in Eugene.
