Event Description

Adam Scramstad & Friends a 2010 International Blues Competition Send Off Concert.
Featuring performances by Adam Scramstad (the winner of the 2010 Journey to Memphis via the Rainy Day Blues Society), Terry Robb, Al Rivers and Jason Johnson.
Sponsored by the Rainy Day Blues Society of Eugene. A Benefit to help pay for Adam's trip to Memphis for Blues Foundation’s 26th International Blues Challenge. In Memphis Adam will be competing against 60 other solo and duo acts from around the world. The winning act in Memphis will receive a recording contract and bookings at major blues festivals. The show will be all ages Saturday January 9th, 1pm at Cozmic Pizza in Eugene. Admission will be $4-$10 on a sliding scale.

The Rainy Day Blues Society’s mission is “to assist in the preservation, promotion and enhancement of the blues as part of our cultural heritage and tradition through public awareness and education, and fostering an environment in which local blues artists can grow and develop.“ More information about the society can be found at www.RainyDayBlues.org. My wife and I both receive psychiatric help in Eugene, OR. I recently married my wife and had her move down from Portland, OR to live with me. We're having serious difficulty getting one of her psychiatric medications. We have been to local emergency rooms twice.
