NEW MEMBERS WELCOME
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Rainy Day Blues Society invites new members to join and rejoin at our monthly members event at the Vets Club on January 20th at 6:30 PM. The Rainy Day Blues Society is an organization dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and enhancement of blues music. The organization promotes the cultural heritage through public awareness, education and showcases the local musicians. If you are love the blues and blues music join us. The Rainy Day Blues Society has monthly events for its members and performances from the local blues community, this month's performers will be Carl Falsgraf, Dino Allbaugh, Alegria in an acoustic set followed by Tony Rae with Common Ground. Rainy Day also sponsors several big name blues artists to the area. Recently, the group started the Blues Prowlers, where it goes throughout the various clubs and brings the blues lovers to hear the local bands. The Prowl events have special pricing and some giveaways.

The Rainy Day Blues Society is looking for volunteers for its board of directors to bring enthusiastic ideas to its group. Nominations are being accepted. For information about board of director nominations, please contact Sue Cox at suez2872@hotmail.com

I took a morning walk in the Alton Baker Park area and got a few photos of the Fall colors. I think our long HOT summer took a toll on the trees as many had a rather drab color to them. Some were not that bad though. And it is still just a little early for some of them to have a more vibrant color.
