Event Description

Motivated by the horrific sexual violence in October 2009 at a Richmond, CA, high school, Network Charter is sponsoring one of the thousands of V-Day events around the world to bring attention to the violence that exists not only in our world and communities, but sadly in our schools as well. This benefit performance of The Vagina Monologues will raise money for SASS, Womenspace, and Ophelia’s Place.

The performance will take place at the First Christian Church on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at 7:30 PM.

In addition to the performance, there will be informational tables from SASS, Womenspace, Ophelia’s Place, Planned Parenthood, and Network’s student group Youth for the Education and Prevention of Sexual Assault (YEPSA). There will also be a silent auction and donations are welcome.

Tickets will be $10 for the general public and will go on sale January 19th. For more information contact Network Charter School, (541) 344-1229.

Your Photos

YouNews My Roses My Roses
I took this photo about 10 AM, but since it was in the shade of one of our trees, I decided to use the flash and it made it look more like I had taken it at night.
YouNews Spider from space Spider from space
While plucking dead blossoms from my Petunia plant I noticed this unusual spider so decided to take a photo of it. After loaded the shot in my computer I saw that the design on it's back looked like some sort of 'space alien'. Interesting. Enjoy.
YouNews Private Drone Used to Report Fire Private Drone Used to Report Fire
Saw smoke from a lightening strike in the hills above our place. Flew my RC plane with camera to check out the smoke. At the same time we alerted the fire department and explained we had a drone checking out the situation.
