Event Description

March 22-25 Spring Break Camp

Monday, March 22nd to Thursday, March 25th
3:00pm- 5:00pm each day
Ages 8-12 All swim levels and abilities are welcome.

Splash your way into aquatics fun during spring break at Tamarack! This four-day camp includes a variety of water safety learning and fun. Each day kids will explore different components of aquatic activities. Campers will work on their swim techniques, ranging from introductory stroke skills to advance, along with water fitness training in water aerobics and Ai-Chi (Water Tai-Chi). Water chemistry experiments will give participants a chance to discover the balance and make up of water. First Aid and Introduction to Life Guarding are included as a part of the water safety training. Tamarack’s commitment to sustainability continues as a component of the camp with an introduction to green practices through learning about solar energy, composting, and salt water pool systems.

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.
