Public Service Announcement – for the week of May 29, 2010

Looking for the Easter Bunny? She will be arriving on an antique fire truck at the annual Veneta Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 3
At the Veneta Elementary School's playing fields 88131 Territorial Blvd.
All Fern Ridge area children, ages 1 through 12 are invited.

The lovely Heather, Fern Ridge Library's storyteller, will begin reading
springtime stories, with puppets, in the gym at 10:30 AM.

She will have a basket of alfalfa seed packets for all the children
to take home and sprout and eat!
At 11 AM the hunt will begin and includes accessible egg nests for alter abled egg hunters .......bunny helpers will abound to make sure all children will get eggs and balloons. Special prize tickets will be hidden
in some of the eggs.......springtime fun for all!

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.
