Event Description

2ND ANNUAL REART FESTIVAL!

The ReArt Festival is an annual event put on by NextStep Recycling to promote and educate the community about reusing, re-purposing, and recycling materials in the attempt for a more sustainable future.

The all-day event brings together artists, vendors, craftspeople and other amazing members of the community to celebrate all of the extraordinary and beautiful art created from everyday, and otherwise worthless, items.

The event includes:
A wide variety of ARTS AND CRAFTS including jewelry, clothing, furniture, housewares, drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.

LIVE MUSIC all-day with performances by:
-Soulicious
-Stephan Nance
-The Last Drags
...and more!

LIVE ART and ACTIVITIES for kids

TASTY FOOD and FRESH PRODUCE provided by a variety of local vendors

and....Eugene's first ever BUGGY DASH!!, a race of non-motorized, non-pedal-powered vehicles through a short course around the park blocks

I took this photo about 10 AM, but since it was in the shade of one of our trees, I decided to use the flash and it made it look more like I had taken it at night.

While plucking dead blossoms from my Petunia plant I noticed this unusual spider so decided to take a photo of it. After loaded the shot in my computer I saw that the design on it's back looked like some sort of 'space alien'. Interesting. Enjoy.

Saw smoke from a lightening strike in the hills above our place. Flew my RC plane with camera to check out the smoke. At the same time we alerted the fire department and explained we had a drone checking out the situation.
