Event Description

Pony Gilbert is a local Native American storyteller who will share his Native stories and culture with us. These family-friendly stories will entertain and educate all who attend. His Mexican and Mescallero Apache heritage blends with other native cultures to teach us about the creatures at the beginning of time, and "before the beginning of time.”

These are female Rufous Hummingbirds. They are the most common hummingbird in Oregon. The male Rufous have much more red on their heads, back and belly with a red throat. I make my own nectar, the red dye is not good for them.
