The Blue Bird

The Blue Bird is inspired by the French fairytale of the same name in which a beautiful princess is locked in a tower by her rival and is visited each day by her true love in the form of a bluebird. In this story, instead of the bird returning to join the princess in human form, the princess wishes to escape her tower room and join the birds in flight.
This is a fundraiser for the non-profit Pacific Classical Ballet a Eugene-based children=s ballet foundation. PCBF provides performance opportunities for aspiring dancers, outreach programs which introduce ballet to rural school children, sponsors master classes with nationally & internationally recognized teachers in ballet & other forms of dance and periodically hosts acclaimed dance companies.
