Molly Blancett

Molly Blancett

Molly Blancett joined the news team as a General Assignment Reporter in November 2007.

She comes here from Lewiston, Idaho, where she was a reporter at CBS affiliate KLEW. Molly is a Pacific Northwest native through and through. She grew up on Mercer Island, a Seattle suburb, and graduated from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. Duck fans, please don't hold that against her. She got her start in news at KOMO-TV, where she was an Assignment Editor.

Her passion for traveling has taken her all over the world from Cambodia's Angkor Wat to the Swiss Alps, where she once bungee jumped out of a gondola (on Friday the 13th!). She spent four months studying Spanish at the University of Granada in Southern Spain and another month backpacking through Western Europe.

Away from the station, Molly enjoys hanging out with friends, spending whatever time she can with her sisters and reading a good book. Molly is thrilled to be back on this side of the Cascades and can't wait to explore the coast, the slopes and Oregon's wine country.
