Dirk Weishaar
Dirk was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho where he also attended college at Idaho State University, majoring in mass communications.
While at college he completed a sports internship with KIFI-TV out of their Pocatello bureau. He continued working for KIFI part-time until graduating from ISU.
Upon Graduation, he landed a full-time job with KPVI-TV in Pocatello as a news photographer/editor/live truck operator. While working there he was able to do some sports work on his own time.
He then moved on to Helena, Montana where he was the weekend sports anchor for KTVH.
He worked in Helena for a little over a year before heading to Reno, Nevada to become the weekend sports anchor and news photographer for KRNV.
He completed a year's work in Reno before coming here to be a sports reporter.
He enjoys watching and participating in sports. He plays almost everything, including racquetball, softball, basketball and tennis (rather poorly). He really loves mountain biking. He also is active at church and enjoys spending time with fellow believers.
