Two people have been shot in a home in the rural southern Oregon community of Azalea. Douglas County sheriff's deputies say the shooting occurred Thursday night at about 7:25. One victim is dead, and the other was taken to a hospital in Grants Pass.

AZALEA, Ore. (AP) — Authorities have identified the two victims of a shooting at a home between the rural Southern Oregon communities of Glendale and Azalea.

Douglas County sheriff's deputies said Friday that 59-year-old Barbara Lea Tooley was pronounced dead at the scene, and 88-year-old Helen Berleta Long was taken to the hospital in Grants Pass.

Investigators are looking for a bearded man of average stature who was seen on foot around the time of Thursday night's shooting.
