Forecast calls for ice overnight Friday into Saturday morning
Another update from the National Weather Service: Ice accumulation up to 1/4 inch possible in Eugene, Albany and Corvallis. Freezing rain should turn to regular rain by Saturday morning.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE.

Last week, I was cruising on the Crown Princess with my 11 year old Grand-daughter. Just out of Skagway, while we were eating King Crab and looking for Whales, I noticed the Sun setting. Without paying much attention, I took a quick picture. I didn't know what I had until I blew it up.
With all the forest fires in the area, the smokey skies makes for some interesting sunsets.
First image is through a blue filter to give a blue tint, second image is the actual color of the moon after it made it up over the treetops. Third image is my son walking out on the dock, holding his cell phone, under the full moon. These were taken at William M. Tugman State Park near Lakeside.
