"It touches my heart because I grew up here," said Margaret Johnson Bailes. "I went to this school and 40 years later there is a track in my name.

We volunteer each year at FFLC as part of the United Way's Day of Caring.

Let me tell you, we were bagging machines. In a few hours we put 5,100 pounds of oatmeal in individual bags.

You may have noticed an unusual "turn lane" along the newly paved and divided section of Bailey Hill Road next to Churchill High School. It looks like a left turn lane into the shopping center, but it doesn't go anywhere. It also has yellow stripes indicating you can't drive there.
Communities Prairie Road to close during construction
Prairie Road will be closed between Highway 99 and Bailey Lane from October 4 through December 14 during construction of Eugene water and sanitary sewer facilities.

Traffic will be slow on Highway 126W this Friday night as the Oregon Dept. of Transportation paves two bridges between Eugene and Veneta.

Weather permitting, the project will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 9 and be completed by 6:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10.

All are welcome to attend any Site Council meeting which are held in room F55 on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

Teacher Sara Hubbe was elected as the Site Council Chair again for this school year.

The Churchill Neighborhood Block Party will feature music by Shelley James and Cal Coleman. It is Sunday, October 11 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Willamette Christian Center.
