Vandalism spree hits Eugene shopping center
Business owners arrived to find a mess Friday morning

EUGENE, Ore. - Vandals broke out windows in 5 businesses at the Sheldon Plaza Shopping Center overnight. Police are investigating the damage as possible burglaries.

Glass was knocked out of the windows at Rite Aid, Shamrock Flowers and Gifts, Papa Murphy's Pizza, The Barber Shop and a fifth store.

The businesses cleaned up the glass, boarded up windows and prepared to operate as usual on Friday.

Some of the businesses have surveillance cameras which may help solve the crime.
