Police arrested a Eugene woman wanted on a felony warrant after she crashed her car on Interstate 5 early Tuesday morning, causing a three-car crash that sent two people to the hospital.
Oregon State Police arrested Karleigh Allis Jones, 21, of Eugene on a felony warrant charging Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Failure to Appear in the First Degree. She was taken to the Lane County Jail.
The crash happened near milepost 168, south of the Douglas County border with Lane County.
Police said Jones was southbound on I-5 around 2:30 a.m. at what is suspected to be a high rate of speed Tuesday morning when she drove off the right shoulder of the road and struck a guardrail in a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The care then crossed back across I-5 into the concrete barrier in the center median, coming to rest in the left southbound lane.
A car driven by Ethan House, 39, of Oakland, Ore., then hit the Eclipse and a third vehicle, police said.
Jones and House were taken by ambulance to Cottage Grove Hospital. Upon her release from the hospital, police took Jones into custody.
