KEIZER, Ore. - Three people ended up in the hospital when a car went off a road and straight into a home in Keizer.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. Saturday along 22nd Avenue North near Niagara Street.

Deputies said the driver was going too fast on a sharp right turn.

The car crashed through two fences and a small field before landing in Donna Swisher's front yard.

"I called 9-1-1 and tried to open the front door and the door wouldn't open," she said. "My husband went outside and he said no one was moving. He tried to get into the car to help them but he couldn't get in to open the doors. I just hope that they're going to be OK."

Deputies said both speed and alcohol likely played a role in the crash.

There is no word yet on the injuries of the car's occupants. Two men and a woman were in the car.

While I was in Winchester Bay to take sunset photos Sunday night, I saw such a huge number of seagulls soaring very high in the sky. There were tens of thousands of them and they were flying hundreds of feet in the air.
