KEIZER, Ore. - Three people ended up in the hospital when a car went off a road and straight into a home in Keizer.

The crash happened around 1 a.m. Saturday along 22nd Avenue North near Niagara Street.

Deputies said the driver was going too fast on a sharp right turn.

The car crashed through two fences and a small field before landing in Donna Swisher's front yard.

"I called 9-1-1 and tried to open the front door and the door wouldn't open," she said. "My husband went outside and he said no one was moving. He tried to get into the car to help them but he couldn't get in to open the doors. I just hope that they're going to be OK."

Deputies said both speed and alcohol likely played a role in the crash.

There is no word yet on the injuries of the car's occupants. Two men and a woman were in the car.

I took a morning walk in the Alton Baker Park area and got a few photos of the Fall colors. I think our long HOT summer took a toll on the trees as many had a rather drab color to them. Some were not that bad though. And it is still just a little early for some of them to have a more vibrant color.
