A teacher in New Mexico is trying to cool down a hot trend. The teacher says the snack food, "Flamin' Hot Cheetos" is a health hazard and a mess and they want it banned from school. Doug Fernandez explains.

While I can understand the school making points about the cheetos being an unhealthy food choice, I think it wasn't necessary. The sharing of them with classmates (any snack food for that matter) & the damage to property requiring cleaning was valid enough to band them if other attempts had failed.Sunflower seeds sometimes become a fad among students. These can become a problem with the shells being spit into drinking fountains, urinals & sinks. They clog drains & disrespectful for custodians to remove with by gloved-hand.Gum should have a universal ban in schools due to the damage to carpets & cost/time of removal from furniture & breezeways. Having worked in elementary thru high school settings, I have experienced a full spectrum of regulation with gum. The worst was at the middle school level where gum was permitted on a teacher by teacher basis.
hahahaha. This is news now?
Seriously, who cares?
