Hurt Locker: UW QB won't play against Ducks

SEATTLE (AP) — Washington quarterback Jake Locker won't play on Saturday when the struggling Huskies face No. 1 Oregon.
Washington coach Steve Sarkisian said Monday that Locker had been playing with a hairline rib fracture that became a full break when Locker took a hit in the Huskies' 41-0 loss to No. 10 Stanford on Saturday.
Sarkisian says Locker's rib problems started with a cartilage injury suffered against Oregon State on Oct. 16 and progressively got worse. He was cleared by doctors to play against Stanford even with the hairline fracture.
Locker was just 7 of 14 passing for 64 yards and two interceptions against the Cardinal. He was sacked three times.
With Locker out, redshirt freshman Keith Price will make his first start on Saturday.
At the time of Oregon's morning practice, no one knew Locker would be ruled out for the rivalry game.
