Following a humiliating loss in the 1996 Cotton Bowl against Colorado, Oregon booster Phil Knight asked head coach Mike Bellotti, 'what would it take to get us to the next level?"

Bellotti said, "an indoor practice facility." Then came the building boom and driving force behind the Ducks rise in the national ranks to where the program is now, the BCS National Championship game against Auburn.

When Bellotti started at the UO as an assistant coach under Rich Brooks in 1989, Bellotti said people didn't believe they could win.
