Quiet music filled the air at the candlelight vigil for Officer Chris Kilcullen, who was killed in the line of duty Friday.
People held candles, Police Chief Pete Kearns made brief remarks, and Kilcullen's patrol motorcycle stood by.
"To see the community come out and show their support for Officer Kilcullen and his family and the members of the police department is heart-warming and is well appreciated by the member of the department," said Eugene Police Captain Steve Swenson.
Kilcullen's motorcycle was decorated with flowers and a sign which read "Thank You Chris".
Chris Kilcullen was 43.
