Suspected purse snatcher hit by car
Springfield, Ore. - A man suspected of snatching a woman's purse is recovering in the hospital after he ran into cars as he tried to make a get away.
Police say 31 year old Eric Kithcart wrestled a purse away from a 48 year old woman at a bus stop on Olympic Street in Springfield Wednesday afternoon.
The woman suffered a cut on her face when the robber threw her to the ground.
As Kithcart ran across the street he smacked into a car that wasn't moving. He then jumped back up and ran into a moving truck. He suffered cuts and a neck injury in the process.
Police took him to the hospital. He faces robbery, assault and theft charges.
