Thirst-Aid prepares for fundraiser
SOUTHWEST EUGENE - A Eugene couple is trying to save the world, one drop of water at a time. And, they're about to kick off local campaign where you can make a difference.
Curt and Cathy Bradner have been working for more than ten years with their organization "Thirst-Aid" to raise awareness about water issues in Myanmar, Thailand and India. They're about to take one more huge step by holding a fundraiser to celebrate World Water Day. The UN sanctioned event isn't until March, but Thirst-Aid wants you to be ready for the fundraiser.
"The goal is to get every local restaurant to charge one dollar for a glass of normally-free tap water from March 22-28," said Thirst-Aid US Manager Bree Ervin. "That dollar will go directly to Thirst-Aid and their safe-water initiatives."
