Scrapbookers unite!
NORTHEAST EUGENE - It's camp time! Ninety woman gathered at Camp Harlow all in the name of memories. They took part in a scrapbooking retreat.
"It's pictures and stories," said Creative Memories Consultant Jani Aguilar. "The stories are really what makes the pictures come alive. That's what we're teaching everyone here."
Creative Memories organized the event. The campers spent the night there with some staying up well into the wee hours of the morning working their creative magic. Many of the women are also donating their time, supplies and creativity towards the Heart Gallery.
"Our efforts for the Heart Gallery are an on-going because of the need for the foster children to have life story books," said Aguilar. "We've invited all of our campers here to help create a page for the album that we're putting together for the Heart Gallery."
The annual retreat continued through Saturday evening.
