DOWNTOWN EUGENE - More than one hundred people showed up Saturday morning for the grand opening Obama's new office located at 1280 Willamette Street in Downtown Eugene.

"I'm here this morning to support Barack Obama for President of the United States," said State Representative Phil Barnhart.

"We have 4,000 volunteers that are already signed up in Eugene," said Office Manager Nancy Webber. "We are registering people at a rate of 100 per day and this is our first registration canvas."

Nancy Webber will manage the office. But, the campaign tells us volunteers will be the driving force of the senator's presence in Lane County. Hillary Clinton's campaign has not announced if they plan on setting up shop here.
