Free shuttle bus to starting line of Eugene Marathon

Lane Transit District will operate free shuttle buses with direct service to the starting area of the Eugene Marathon at Hayward Field on Sunday, May 4.

LTD shuttles will depart from the Park & Ride located in the Autzen Stadium parking lot every five minutes beginning at 5:30 a.m.; the final bus will depart at 6:40 a.m.  LTD also will operate shuttles from the Hilton Hotel beginning at 5:30 a.m. and ending at 6:45 a.m.  The marathon begins at 7:00 a.m. at Hayward Field.

Shuttles will depart from the Valley River Inn (LTD Event Shuttle Bus Stop) every 10 minutes beginning at 5:30 a.m.; the final bus will depart at 6:20 a.m.  Look for Oregon Coachways buses for this service. LTD will not operate from the Valley River Inn.

LTD will provide post-event service between Autzen Stadium, Hayward Field, the Hilton Hotel, and Valley River Inn starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 3:50 p.m.

The shuttles will provide marathoners with the opportunity to leave their cars at the finish area and catch a ride to Hayward Field. Marathoners are encouraged to take the earliest possible shuttle to ensure that all participants are at the starting line before race time. 

In addition, marathoners may ride any LTD bus route during the day just by showing their “bib” or race number.
