CANNON BEACH, Ore. - A dead beaked whale washed up on the Oregon coast on Sunday.

"It's been dead a long time," said Keith Chandler with Seaside Aquarium and the Marine Mammal Stranding Network.  "It really smells bad."

Park rangers at Ecola State Park discovered the whale washing in at Crescent Beach Sunday morning.  It is about 20 feet long.

Chandler said a team from Portland State University will be brought in to examine the whale within the next couple of days.
