EUGENE, Ore. - Police need your help identifying a man police say sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl outside  store.

On May 17, between 8:30 and 9 p.m., the girl was waiting for her mother near the west entrance of the Fred Meyer grocery store located at 3333 West 11th Ave. in Eugene. An adult male approached the girl, groped her, then immediately left the area, police said Wednesday.

Police described the suspect as a white male approximately 18–25 years old, with blonde or light brown hair, and a medium height and build. He wore a purple t-shirt with a large white design, below-the-knee cut-off jean shorts and sandals. The suspect left the scene in a white four-door compact SUV. 

Images of the suspect and his vehicle were obtained through the store’s security cameras.
