Eugene Marathon registration begins
EUGENE, Ore. - Only six months left to train for the Eugene Marathon
Registration has begun for the third annual event to be held next May. Organizers said the course is a little different than in years past, and it's one that runners should look forward to.
"We've taken the three to four things that people didn't like about the course and we changed it," said Race Organizer Andy Downin. "We upgraded it. We have a brand new finish line that is going to finish right at Hayward Field."
Last year, 6,000 people ran the 26.2 mile race. This year organizers are hoping to attract another thousand runners. If the marathon is too much for you, there's always the half-marathon or the 5K.
