In a still from a surveillance video, a woman with an armload of stolen clothes heads for the exit of a Ross store. Police suspect an organized shoplifting ring is behind the rash of thefts in Oregon and Washington.
EUGENE, Ore. -- Call it a criminal triathlon: a shoplifting suspect at Macy's ran from security guards and jumped into the Willamette River Thursday night.
The man was last seen around 8:58 p.m., more than 20 minutes after jumping from the boat ramp behind the Vallery River Center, where Macy's is located.
The man's identity and whereabouts are unknown.
