LEBANON, Ore. -- Police charged a 29-year-old man this morning in connection with an arson fire at the Pregnancy Alternatives Center last September.

David Allen Rios faces charges of arson, burglary, theft by receiving and hindering prosecution. He was arrested at the Linn County Jail where he is being held on unrelated charges.

Police said the motive for the fire is still unknown. The Pregnancy Alternatives Center provides assistance for women considering whether to keep a pregnancy or not. The organization had just moved into a new facility. The executive director worried the fire was started by an abortion foe who misunderstood the clinic's mission.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Sgt. Kevin Martinez at (541) 258-4305.
