No gun, just a note and a "larger nose."

On Dec. 4, 2008, at 3:28 p.m., a male entered Washington Federal Savings located at 1111 NW 9th Street.  The suspect approached the teller and showed a note demanding money.  He received an undisclosed amount of money then fled the business to the southeast on a bicycle.  The suspect is described as a white male in his 50's, approximately 5'06" - 5'07" tall, with a medium build and a larger nose.  The suspect was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with pink writing on the chest and the hood pulled over his head, orange colored aviator sunglasses, blue jeans, black ski gloves, and was carrying a blue fanny pack.  No weapons were seen or implied and no one was injured during the incident.

Detectives from the Corvallis Police Department arrived on scene and began an investigation into the incident.  Anyone with possible information regarding the incident is asked to assist the police department in identifying the suspect.  Also, anyone in the area during the time of the crime that noticed someone matching the description, or witnessed anyone acting out of the ordinary, out of place, changing clothing outdoors, hiding, driving erratically, or suspicious is asked to contact Corvallis Police Detective Shawn Houck at (541) 766-6924.
