Some schools send kids home early
EUGENE, Ore. -- Another Snow Day? With snow and ice in the forecast, some school districts kept their doors shut for a third day in a row.
Creswell Schools just announced they will be dismissing early today. Creslane buses will depart at 12:15 p.m. Creswell Middle School and Creswell High School buses will depart at 1:15 p.m. This evening's music concert has been cancelled and may be rescheduled.
Mapleton will dismiss classes at 1 p.m. today.
Lane Community College locations in Eugene and Cottage Grove are closing for the day at 3 p.m.
Eugene 4J school buses are on snow routes. Evening events have been canceled; all activities should conclude by 5 p.m. The school board meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday at 7 p.m., weather permitting.
Willamette Christian School's after school care program will close today at 4:00 PM. All evening events are canceled.
Schools in Crow, Applegate and Lorane announced Tuesday they would be closed on Wednesday, and Oregon State University plans to open 2 hours late. The University of Oregon says it will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday but that staff will keep an eye on the weather.
