Memorials planned for crash victims

Four people died and a fifth was left fighting for his life at a Portland hospital.
Police have charged a Eugene man with four counts of manslaughter, driving under the influence and other charges related to the crash.
A memorial for Nima Gibba, 11, will be held at noon Wednesday at Bethel Temple Faith Ministries on 18th Avenue in Eugene, Ore.
A memorial for Heather Mulgrave, 36, of Springfield, Ore., is set for Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. at Willamette Christian Center followed by a catered reception at Body & Soul Dance Studio.
Connie Vermilyea, 34, and her son Jaziah Vermilyea, 10, also died in the crash. A service is planned for Friday at 11 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park at 11th Avenue and Danebo Street.
Jakobi Mulgrave, a fourth-grader at Moffitt Elementary in Springfield, Ore., was badly injured in the crash and is fighting for his life at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.
There will be a fundraising event held at all three area Papa's Pizza Parlors on Wednesday, Feb. 11: West 11th and Coburg Road in Eugene and Main Street in Springfield.
Papa's will donate 50 percent of the value of all food orders will be donated to the Jakobi Mulgrave Medical Fund to help pay for his medical costs.
