ALBANY, Ore. (AP) — Mayor Sharon Konopa will ask the Albany City Council to repeal a restriction on the number of dogs people can have in their homes.
For the past 25 years, the city code has limited households to two adult dogs.
In 2007 people persuaded the city to let them keep more under certain conditions.
City Manager Wes Hare told the council that created discontent and did not accomplish what the city hoped.
"We're going to have to revisit the whole ordinance to make it more effective and less cumbersome," Konopa said Friday. The issue comes up again Feb. 11.
