Searchers find body of missing Eugene man

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (AP) — Searchers have recovered the body of a 73-year-old Eugene man who had been missing in Central Oregon's Ochoco National Forest.

Sheriff Rodd Clark of Crook County says Roger Huffman's remains were found Monday afternoon, just north of where his vehicle was found stuck in the snow earlier this month.

Clark says last week's rain melted a lot of snow, aiding the search.

The cause of death is under investigation, but Clark says the evidence suggests Huffman died from the cold.
