EUGENE, Ore. -- Maybe St. Patrick had some help herding those snakes out of Ireland.

Two Lane County animal shelters are offering special deals on pet adoptions today.

ST. CATRICK'S DAY
At lane county animal services, all cat adoptions are at a reduced price of $55.

The special includes spaying or neutering, leukemia tests, vaccinations, a health exam, a micro-chip ID, a cat carrier, collar and even a green bandana.

LUCKY PAWS
Greenhill Humane Society is holding a "lucky paws" adoption special today.

All cat, dog and small animal adopters get to draw from a "pot o' discounts" filled with discounts on adoption fees for cats and discounts at the Greenhill retail store for other pet adopters.
