Police find 1,100 pot plants in Eugene home
EUGENE, Ore. -- Police pulled over 500 pot plants out of a house in north Eugene Thursday and said they fund evidence that 600 more plants had recently been harvested.
The house is located near the intersection of Bushnell and Plentywood. Officers report they recovered more than 500 pot plants and 600 bulbs. Investigators tell KVAL News bulbs are pot plants which have already been harvested.
Police cited two people for growing pot and released them. Oregon State Police Sgt. Rob Edwards identified the people cited as Shawn Christopher McGlynn, 33, and Vanessa Jonita Crump, 27.
One neighbor, Amy McKinnis said she was not surprised by the drug bust pointing out. "There's lots of drugs in this neighborhood," she said.
