Suspect in Condon case in custody in Nevada

DAYTON, Nev. -- The Nevada Appeal reports that police arrested a man named as a suspect in the disappearance of Stephanie Condon in 1998.

Condon's remains were found March 13 by a hiker near Glide, Ore.

The Douglas County, Ore., sheriff announced Wednesday morning that the remains are Condon.

The Nevada Appeal reports that Lyon County, Nev., law enforcement arrested Dale Wayne Hill, 39, Wednesday morning on suspicion of failing to register as a felon.

Nevada police were joined by members of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police and the FBI, the newspaper reported on its Web site.

Sheriff John Hanlin said Wednesday morning that Hill remains a suspect in the case.
